The Sydney Royal Sheep & Sheep Fleece Show is one of the largest and most prestigious Sheep & Fleece Shows in
Each year over 700 sheep and 100 fleeces are exhibited at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
There are three major categories in the RAS Sheep & Fleece Show: Merinos, Meat and Dual Purpose sheep and the Fleece Section. Merinos are bred for their fine quality wool while meat breed sheep are bred for their meat eating qualities; their wool is of less significance. Dual purpose sheep produce quality wool and meat.
Winning a Sydney Royal ribbon especially a Champion, is highly valued and keenly contested by Exhibitors who come from all over NSW,
